N.b, If you select the Emerald ECU or Greddy eManage, your car will need tuning on a rolling road. The BEGI FMU should be tuned with a wide band and data logging. Incorrectly tuned engine management can result in engine damage.
The BEGI FMU works well at low boost levels, but will need to be replaced if you turn up the boost. The Greddy eManage will return better fuel economy on a low boost setup and works well up to about 180bhp (1.8) or 165bhp (1.6) but makes compromises to the tuning as the power increases. If you are wanting 200bhp or more, then we highly recomend the Emerald ECU (our preferred engine management solution). The Emerald tuned on the rolling road outstrips both BEGI FMU and Greddy eManage in number of features, economy and driveability.
